Below is a listing of Field’s Engineering Consultant Services, LLC projects. (This list is not intended to be all inclusive, but rather to provide a small sampling of projects).
U.S. Highway 127 Median Redesign. Charleston Plantation is a 136-unit residential townhome/apartment complex located adjacent to U.S. Highway 127 North within the city limits of Crossville, TN. Field’s Engineering Consultant Services, LLC (FECS) was retained as the primary engineering consultant to provide an entrance way for the north bound traffic to enter the complex. The scope of work involved the design of a turning lane and the redesign of U.S. Highway 127 median drawings, and the realignment of Charleston Lane. FECS provided design, TDOT permitting and construction management and inspection for the project. FECS worked very closely with Charleston Plantation Investments, LLC, the City of Crossville and TDOT to ensure the successful completion of the project to the mutual satisfaction of all entities.
Fairfield Glade Towne Centre Intersection Project. L. E Smith retained the services of Field’s Engineering Consultant Services, LLC as their primary engineering consultant for the development of turn lanes/4-lane intersection with traffic lights and an entrance to serve the Towne Center commercial complex located adjacent to U.S. Highway 101 North (Peavine Road) in Cumberland County, Tennessee. Town Centre is a high volume complex access to the Food City grocery store and fueling station. This development serves the many residents and vacationers of the Fairfield Glade Resort Community. The scope of work included redesign of Highway 101 drawings, drainage design, landscape design, TDOT permitting and construction management and inspection for the project. To-date, this intersection is serving the development very well.
SR-101 (Peavine Road) Utility Relocation, Phase 1 & Phase 2. Crab Orchard Utility District retained the services of Field’s Engineering Consultant services, LLC as primary engineering consultant for the relocation of approximately 20,000 l.f. of 6-inch and 8-inch water line due to the widening and relocating of SR-101 (Peavine Road), which is the main access road to the Fairfield Glade Resort community. The resort community’s population is approximately 6,000 + permanent residents, and offers four golf courses, 11 lakes and other recreational venues for its many timeshare and other vacationers that visit the resort annually. Thus, this utility relocation project and road widening is of critical importance to Cumberland County’s continued growth and prosperity. Approximately 42% of the relocation will occur on public highway right-of-way, with 58% being located on private utility right-of-way, FECS has been contracted to provide TDOT cost estimates, design, specifications and construction management, and inspection services for this project. Engineering and construction for Phase 1 & Phase 2 are currently under construction.
